This Stop, The Iverson Movie Ranch

    Once upon a time, when movies were made in Hollywood, finding a place to go make Westerns was never a problem.  Hollywood simply went out to its own backyard and started SHOOTING!

    Welcome to the place that got "shot up" the most, the Iverson Movie Ranch.  This famous location shoot just outside of Los Angeles is the granddaddy of all movie ranches.  It is the location where "The Duke" joined up with that famous stagecoach which would propel him into stardom, where "The Lone Ranger" could be found riding up to that most familiar rock each thrilling week of yesteryear, and where such super-heroes as "Batman", "Superman" and "Captain Marvel" first stepped out of comic books and into the camera.  The Iverson Ranch is the place where Gene, Roy, Hoppy, Cisco and a hundred other "buck-a-roos" helped keep us on the right trail.  It was also the place where a future American president by the name of Ronald Reagan managed to get into the act.  For over 80 years, this ranch provided the background for some 3,000 movies and TV shows, from death-defying, cliff hanging serials to hard riding, two-fisted Westerns.  Sit tight, as Hollywood Trails takes you on a ride through the Iverson Movie Ranch.

Located in the far northwestern corner of the San Fernando Valley, some 30 miles from Hollywood, there lies ........................................
